Froodl is a writing home for people with something to say.
A clean editor. An audience that actually reads. Quality scored on craft, not clout. That's it — that's the pitch.
Why Froodl
Most blogging platforms ask you to choose: a noisy social feed full of hot takes, or a lonely standalone site nobody finds. Froodl is the middle ground. You publish on your own profile, with your own readers and your own followers — but you also show up in topic feeds, the explore page, and search, so writing here actually leads somewhere.
We rebuilt Froodl from the ground up in 2026 to focus on three things:
- Writing comes first. A distraction-free editor, real cover images, real typography, real reading time.
- Quality beats virality. Every story is scored by an AI classifier the moment you publish. Good writing rises; spammy SEO bait gets hidden.
- Honest economics. Free for casual writers (up to 5 stories a month). Three dollars a month if you want unlimited and dofollow links. No ads on the site. No data sold to anyone.
How it works
Read
The logged-out home page shows the highest-scoring stories from the last week. Sign in and "For you" tunes to topics and writers you follow. Explore shows the full topic grid and surfaces writers worth a follow.
Write
Hit Write. The editor autosaves every 8 seconds. Add a hero image (required at publish), pick 1–3 topics, and you're live. Free plan gets 5 published stories a month; Premium removes the cap.
Engage
Like, bookmark, comment (two-deep threads, with comment likes), follow writers, follow topics. The notification bell tells you when someone engages with your work or posts something new in a feed you follow.
Stay sane
Froodl has banned-word filtering, AI quality scoring, mandatory profile photos before activity, and a small team of human moderators working on reports. We block spam aggressively so writers and readers don't have to wade through it.
The Premium plan
Froodl Premium is $3 per month or $20 per year. Unlimited publishing, a premium badge on your profile, and eligibility to attach dofollow links to your stories (sold separately as credits — useful for writers who place sponsored or affiliate work). Payments run through PayPal. Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. See the pricing page for details.
Who's behind Froodl
Froodl is a small independent team. We don't take venture capital, run advertising, or sell user data. The platform pays for itself through Premium subscriptions and dofollow credits — that's the whole business model, and that's the only one we want.
