Winter Essentials: Don’t Freeze Up This Season
This winter has come fast and in full force with snow and freezing temperatures, so dressing for a season is mandatory. Unfortunately, with the hustle and bustle of modern days, we are still forced to commute and work in these conditions, which makes it even more important to ensure that you are comfortable and warm during whatever the elements throw at you.
I have put together a list of easier, affordable, and stylish options for you to grab this winter.
Down Coat
Your bog standard puffer coat is still useful, but it doesn’t do the most on more extreme winter days. A down coat, while on the pricey side, is made with great care to ensure that you stay nice and warm while outside. There is a reason why all the coats you see on skiing holidays are made from quality materials and down.
You don’t always have to pay an arm and a leg for a good-quality coat; just ensure that you are looking at reviews, materials, and what conditions the coat is made for. You can buy thick and lightly packed coats. Look for parkas and heavy-duty jackets for the winter, and you won’t be sorry.
Tracksuits
A staple all year round but especially for the winter, they are an easy outfit choice when you get out of bed and are dying to be covered head to toe in something to protect you from the cold air. Heavyweight womens tracksuits hopefully are the perfect choice this winter, and be sure to grab them during the Black Friday sale to save on some pennies or during the summer sale well ahead of the winter times.
A nice thick hoodie and straight-leg pants are the ideal get-up for when you have to run some errands or even casual Fridays at work.
Fluffy Socks and Gloves
Cold feet and hands are possibly the worst part of winter weather, so protect them with leather gloves and nice fluffy socks. While this would only really work with boots, I would recommend that you bring some into the office as they can become really cold places, especially in the morning.
Leather gloves are amazing at keeping all of the heat in; just pray you don’t need to get onto your phone as they aren’t screen-friendly sometimes.
Boots
While we are on the topic of socks and boots, you must wear shoes that are both comfortable and work well with different elements, such as ice and snow. You want to have as much grip as possible because falling over isn’t something any of us want this winter. You can always bring a pair of shoes to change into when you are in the car to ensure that there are no problems with ice and snow.
Final Thoughts
You must dress for the weather, so collecting a range of thick and quality pieces to bring out during the winter is essential. Thick jumpers, coats and socks are a perfec
