What Sets WPC Board Apart From Traditional Wood Products

The material also offers good screw-holding ability, machining performance and finishing compatibility.

WPC board has similar look to genuine wood, but composition and performance characteristics are quite different from the typical wood-based composites. This knowledge of the distinctions helps explain the attractiveness WPC board has had for many building applications. Traditional wood based goods such as plywood, MDF, particle board and solid timber are based largely on the use of natural wood fibers glued together or made from whole logs. These materials are appealing and structurally sound but are susceptible to moisture absorption, termite attack, fungus development, swelling, warping and slow degradation under different climatic circumstances. The composite structure of WPC board overcomes these difficulties.
Another important distinction is that of biological resistance. WPC board is inherently resistant to termite infestation, fungal development and microbial degradation because the makeup of the board produces an environment significantly less favorable to insects and microorganisms than untreated wood.
WPC board also differs from genuine wood in its consistency. Because it is made nder regulated circumstances, the material is consistent in density, thickness and structural integrity in each panel. This uniformity makes the construction easier, and reduces the faults such as knots, fissures, abnormalities of the grain of real wood. These benefits have made WPC board a very stable construction material that can provide long-term performance in challenging residential and commercial environments.

Why WPC Board Is the Preferred Choice Key Features

WPC board will not fracture, warp, split or deteriorate on the surface with frequent usage. It is designed to carry high loads and hence will be stable for a long time. Termite resistance increases also its lengthy service life. As termites are unable to quickly eat the composite material, WPC board removes one of the most prevalent reasons for damage to furniture and interiors caused by raw wood. The lightweight structure provides practical advantages during shipping, handling and installation.
WPC board has a great strength, but is relatively simple to work with, which reduces labor needs and simplifies manufacturing. To enhance the safety of residential and commercial structures, several WPC products are formulated with fire-retardant chemicals. Performance depends on production standards, although superior fire resistance is still a key concern in current construction.
The material also offers good screw-holding ability, machining performance and finishing compatibility. It can be cut, drilled, molded and assembled easily with normal woodworking equipment so makers and installers may work swiftly but still get excellent results.
