This is How It Began

OMEGA’s story begins in 1848. A young watchmaker named Louis Brandt opened a small workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. He began assembling precision pocket watches using parts from local craftsmen, and honestly, that humble beginning is easy to overlook given how far the brand has come.

After Brandt, his sons took over and moved the business to Biel - a decision that positioned the company to grow alongside Switzerland’s expanding watchmaking industry.
