No ‘Man of Tomorrow’ Teaser Trailer Expected This Year, James Gunn Clarifies

Speculation about the film’s first trailer had been gaining attention online, with rumours suggesting that it could arrive alongside Dune: Part Three in cinemas this December. The possibility had sparked excitement among DC fans.

Fans hoping to catch their first glimpse of Man of Tomorrow this December may have to wait a little longer. DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has made it clear that the upcoming Superman sequel is not expected to receive a teaser trailer before the end of the year.

Speculation about the film’s first trailer had been gaining attention online, with rumours suggesting that it could arrive alongside Dune: Part Three in cinemas this December. The possibility had sparked excitement among DC fans, many of whom were looking forward to an early look at the highly anticipated sequel.

However, Gunn has now stepped in to address the speculation. Responding to a Threads post discussing the rumoured trailer release, he questioned the claim, writing, “Expected by whom???”

When another fan suggested that he was once again disappointing excited fans, Gunn clarified his position, explaining that he simply didn't want people getting their hopes up for something that wasn't happening.

While the clarification may be disappointing for fans eagerly waiting for footage, it doesn't necessarily mean that the marketing campaign is far away. It simply means that viewers shouldn't count on a December teaser or an attachment to Dune: Part Three.

For now, DC is keeping the first look at Man of Tomorrow under wraps, leaving fans waiting for an official announcement from the studio.
