Introducing Jobois:

Building a guitar is more than putting different parts together. The wood, hardware, electronics, and small components all play an important role in the building process. For guitar makers, luthiers, and DIY enthusiasts, finding reliable materials and compatible guitar parts in one place can make the entire project easier.

That is the idea behind Jobois, a new guitar-focused brand being launched from the house of Exotic Wood Zone.

Jobois is being developed as a dedicated destination for premium guitar tonewoods, guitar parts, hardware, and components for people who enjoy building, modifying, repairing, and customizing guitars.

What Is Jobois?

Jobois is a new brand created with guitar builders and luthiers in mind. While Exotic Wood Zone has established experience supplying domestic and exotic woods to woodworkers and instrument makers, Jobois brings that experience into a more focused guitar-building platform.

The goal is simple: make it easier for guitar builders to find quality tonewoods and the essential parts they need for their projects.

Whether someone is starting their first DIY guitar build, working on a custom instrument, replacing hardware, or looking for individual components for a repair, Jobois is being built around these needs.

Premium Tonewoods for Guitar Builders

Wood is one of the most important materials in guitar making. Different species have different appearances, weights, working characteristics, and tonal properties, which is why builders often spend considerable time choosing the right wood for a particular project.

Jobois will offer a range of guitar tonewoods for different parts of an instrument, including guitar bodies, necks, fingerboards, tops, and other components.

Builders can expect options across both familiar and more distinctive wood species, giving them the opportunity to choose materials based on their design, project requirements, and personal preferences.

For custom guitar projects, the visual character of the wood can be just as important as its practical characteristics. Figured, spalted, highly grained, and naturally distinctive woods can add a unique appearance to a finished instrument.

Guitar Parts and Hardware

A guitar build also requires much more than wood.

Jobois is being developed to provide a selection of guitar parts and hardware that can help builders complete their instruments. The product range will include components used in electric and acoustic guitar projects.

Some of the areas include:

• Guitar bridges

• Bone nuts and saddles

• Fretwire

• Guitar knobs

• Potentiometers

• 3-way and 5-way switches

• Pickup covers

• Guitar wiring components

• Bridge pins

• Truss rod covers

• Inlays

• Guitar strings

• Other guitar hardware and accessories

Having access to these individual components can be especially useful for builders who prefer to source their guitar materials separately and create an instrument according to their own specifications.

Components for DIY Guitar Projects

The DIY guitar-building community continues to attract people who want to create something that is personal rather than simply purchasing a finished instrument.

A DIY project gives builders the freedom to choose the body wood, neck, fingerboard, hardware, electronics, finish, and other details.

Jobois aims to support this process by bringing together guitar-building materials and components in one specialized brand.

From selecting a guitar body blank to choosing the right hardware and wiring components, builders will be able to explore products suited to different stages of a guitar project.

Built on the Experience of Exotic Wood Zone

One of the foundations behind Jobois is Exotic Wood Zone, an established supplier of exotic and domestic woods serving woodworkers, instrument builders, and other makers.

The experience of working with different wood species and supplying materials for guitar-related projects helped create the idea for a more specialized guitar brand.

Jobois allows that experience to be developed into a dedicated platform focused specifically on guitar builders and the components they need.

Rather than being completely separate from that background, Jobois represents a new direction built from it.

Designed for Luthiers, Builders, and Guitar Enthusiasts

Jobois is being created for a broad range of guitar makers.

Luthiers can explore materials and components for custom instrument projects.

DIY builders can find parts for assembling their own guitars.

Experienced guitar makers can source individual components for modifications, repairs, and new builds.

And guitar enthusiasts can explore different materials and parts while learning more about how guitars are made.

The idea is not simply to sell guitar parts. It is to create a resource where builders can discover materials, understand their options, and find components that fit their projects.

A New Brand With a Long-Term Vision

As a new website, Jobois is being built with a long-term focus on the guitar-building community.

The initial focus will be premium tonewoods and essential guitar parts, with the product range continuing to develop around the needs of builders and luthiers.

Future resources can also include guides, educational content, product information, and practical information to help guitar makers make more informed choices.

Choosing a wood species, understanding guitar hardware, selecting the correct wiring components, or planning a DIY build can involve many questions. Jobois aims to become a useful source of information as well as a place to find guitar-building materials.

Looking Ahead

A guitar is a combination of many individual choices. The wood selected for the body and neck, the fingerboard material, the hardware, electronics, and finishing details all contribute to the character of the finished instrument.

Jobois is being launched to make those choices easier to explore.

As a new brand from the house of Exotic Wood Zone, Jobois brings together knowledge of quality wood materials with a growing selection of guitar parts and hardware.

Whether you are an experienced luthier, a first-time DIY builder, or simply interested in creating a custom guitar, Jobois is being built with your projects in mind.

The website is currently being prepared for launch, with a growing range of premium guitar tonewoods, guitar parts, hardware, and DIY guitar-building components planned for the new platform.

Jobois is the next step in creating a dedicated destination for people who build, customize, and love guitars.
