Indoor COB LED Displays – Why AERO's Chip-on-Board Screens Look Better up Close

Walk up close to most big screens and the picture starts to break into dots. An indoor COB LED display is built to avoid exactly that. At AERO, our indoor LED range uses ultra-thin COB technology so that boardrooms, lobbies and showrooms get a clean, sharp image even from a few feet away.

What COB Actually Means

COB stands for Chip on Board. Instead of packaging each LED separately, multiple bare LED chips are mounted directly onto the PCB. AERO's Flip-Chip COB goes one step further by removing wire bonding altogether. The result is a much higher LED density than SMD or DIP methods, a tighter pixel pitch and a sharper picture.

The Numbers Behind AERO Indoor COB LED

• Pixel pitch from 0.6mm to 1.87mm on the Flip-Chip COB series, with 2K, 4K and 8K resolution options

• A 170°H/170°V viewing angle, so colour and brightness stay uniform from every seat

• A 20,000:1 contrast ratio and 2000 cd/m² peak brightness for deep blacks and HDR detail

• Around 25% lower power use compared with conventional packaging, along with lower screen temperature

• A 16:9 cabinet that avoids video stretching and splices without gaps

Built for Real Indoor Spaces

A screen in a busy lobby or retail floor gets bumped, cleaned and touched. AERO's COB surface comes with collision protection, and its tight packaging naturally resists moisture and dust. The surface light source also reduces moiré, which keeps viewing comfortable even at close range – a big plus for long meetings or control rooms.

Maintenance is simple too. Front-access modules let our team service the wall with dedicated tools, so the LEDs are not damaged and the screen is back up quickly. AERO can also supply an Android or Windows controller matched to your screen resolution.

Where It Fits Best

AERO recommendsindoor COB LED for corporate boardrooms, retail, government, hospitality, museums, auditoriums, luxury villas, airports, and broadcast and control rooms. Anywhere viewers stand close and details matter, COB earns its place.
