The clue is in the name: a layer of powder is applied to metal to protect it from corrosion, pitting and rust. The coating consists of polymer resin, flow modifiers and pigments for a fantastic finish that’s thicker than a single coat of paint.
Powder coating can be applied to any metallic surface, provided it holds an electrostatic charge. Once the surface has been pre-treated and prepared, we apply primer. It’s essential not to skip this step, as primer can help the finish last up to four times longer.
Then, once the powder coating is applied, it’s cured for optimal results.
