The negative control should display only the Control (C) line, with no other test lines appearing.Control testing is recommended when using a new kit lot, receiving a new shipment, training a new operator, or at least every 30 days to ensure proper storage and performance. If the controls do not produce the expected results, patient testing should not continue until the issue has been resolved.
