A Message, A Miracle, A Movement: The 40-Year Legacy of Endtime Ministries

The Miracle That Started It All: Celebrating 40 Years Since a Message for the President

his year, Endtime Ministries is celebrating a major milestone: 40 years since Irvin Baxter wrote his first book, A Message for the President.

What began in 1986 as an act of obedience to God became the foundation for everything this ministry is today. From a small room in Richmond, Indiana, to a global voice proclaiming the prophecies of the Bible, the journey of Endtime Ministries began with one man hearing from God, one family walking by faith, and one message that would soon be undeniably confirmed on the world stage.

As we reflect on four decades of ministry, we are reminded that this was never simply the story of a book. It was the story of divine timing, prophetic fulfilment and miracle after miracle.

A Book Born Out of Obedience

Long before 1986, God had already begun revealing prophetic truths to Irvin Baxter. Starting in 1968, he taught that modern nations — including the United States — could be identified in Bible prophecy. He shared those revelations boldly, even when others dismissed them as merely his interpretation.

But in the mid-1980s, something changed.

The steady flow of revelation seemed to pause. Irvin sought the Lord, asking why the insight that had come so consistently had suddenly dried up. In prayer, he felt the Lord speak clearly: He would not reveal anything further until Irvin published what He had already given him.

That instruction became the turning point.

Irvin had never written a book before. By his own testimony, he did not especially enjoy writing or studying history in school — yet those very things would become central to the calling God placed on his life. So he began writing A Message for the President, though the task moved slowly at first.

Then came a moment of decision.

Compelled by the urgency of what God had shown him, Irvin told his wife, Judy, that he would not eat again until the book was finished. Judy joined him in the fast. For 12 days, the two worked together — Irvin writing by hand and Judy typing the manuscript — until the final sentence was complete.

The book was finished in 1986.

The Prophetic Claim That Changed Everything

At the heart of A Message for the President was a bold prophetic declaration: that the Berlin Wall would come down, East and West Germany would reunite, and that event would serve as a catalyst for the emerging new world order.

At the time, such a prediction seemed unthinkable.

Friends warned Irvin not to publish it. Some told him he would destroy his credibility and bury his ministry before it had even begun. The Berlin Wall stood as a defining symbol of the Cold War. To suggest that it would fall — and to tie it directly to Bible prophecy — sounded extreme to many.

But Irvin was convinced that God had shown him the meaning of the “healing of the deadly wound” described in Revelation 13. Based on Scripture, historical study and world events, he believed Germany was central to that prophecy.

So he published the book anyway.

Three years later, in 1989, the Berlin Wall came down.

Germany was reunited. Soon after, world leaders began publicly using the phrase “new world order.” Suddenly, what many had dismissed as impossible was being recognized as a stunning fulfilment of Bible prophecy.

People around the world began askin g the same question: How did Irvin Baxter know?

His answer was simple: God had revealed it through His Word.

That moment put Endtime Ministries on the map.

Why a Message for the President Mattered

The significance of that first book cannot be overstated.

For Irvin Baxter, it was the moment when prophetic teaching moved from theory to fulfilment. Jesus said in John 14:29, “I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.” That verse captured the very purpose of the book.

God gave Irvin something to declare before it happened so that, when it came to pass, people would believe.

That is exactly what happened.

What had once sounded controversial became undeniable. And from that moment forward, the ministry entered a new season of reach, influence and responsibility.

From Pastor to Prophetic Voice

Before the book, Irvin Baxter was known primarily as a pastor. He loved people, pastored faithfully and taught prophecy as part of a broader ministry. But after the fulfilment of what he had written, the direction of his life changed dramatically.

Doors opened. Interviews increased. Invitations multiplied. The prophetic message that had once been shared in local settings began spreading across the nation and then around the world.

What followed was not self-promotion. It was surrender.

Irvin gave himself fully to the calling God had placed on him. He was willing to lay down personal comfort, routine and even the familiar rhythm of pastoral life in order to obey the will of God. That obedience helped shape what Endtime Ministries has become today: a global ministry proclaiming the soon coming of Jesus Christ and helping people understand the prophecies of the Bible.

The Next Miracle: Launching Endtime Magazine

The momentum did not stop with the book.

In 1991, God began dealing with Irvin about launching a bi-monthly magazine that would interpret current events through the lens of Bible prophecy. He gathered with a group of men, shared the vision and received enthusiastic support. Ten men each pledged $1,000 to help launch the effort.

But the money never came.

Meanwhile, subscribers were signing up and sending in their payments. Irvin had a growing list of supporters, but not the funds needed to print the first issue. After a year of waiting, he went to prayer, prepared to refund the subscriptions and abandon the project.

But once again, God intervened.

In prayer, Irvin felt the Lord challenge him: Would he one day stand before God and say he was too afraid to take the leap of faith for the very thing he had been called to do?

That settled it.

He and Judy decided to take out a $40,000 loan against their home to move forward. That same day, after making the decision, Irvin stopped by the post office and found a letter waiting for him. Inside was a $1,000 check from one of the men who had promised support a year earlier.

It was a reminder the ministry would see again and again over the years: when God calls, He provides.

Teaching Prophecy for a New Generation

As the ministry expanded, so did the tools used to teach prophecy.

One of the most influential projects in those early years was the Understanding the Endtime series. Built around ten lessons, the teaching was designed to help people identify modern nations in prophecy and make sense of end-time events through Scripture. It eventually became one of the most recognized and effective teaching tools in the ministry’s history.

Creating it was another step of faith.

Producing the first 3,000 flip charts required $60,000 — money the ministry did not have. A printer agreed to begin the job with delayed billing, and when equipment problems interrupted production, the delay gave the ministry just enough time to sell the materials and cover the cost.

Once again, what could have been a setback became provision.

From flip charts to VHS recordings, and eventually to radio, television and digital platforms, God continued opening doors for the message to spread.

A Ministry Built on Miracles

Looking back over the last 40 years, one truth stands above the rest: Endtime Ministries was built by the faithfulness of God.

The story of this ministry is not merely about publishing, broadcasting or teaching. It is about what happens when people obey God even when the path seems uncertain. It is about trusting the voice of the Lord when others doubt. It is about taking the next step, even when provision has not yet appeared.

Again and again, God has proven Himself faithful.

He was faithful when the book had to be written.

He was faithful when the prophecy came to pass.

He was faithful when the magazine had to launch.

He was faithful when the teaching tools had to be produced.

And He remains faithful today.

Forty Years Later, the Mission Continues

Now, in 2026, as Endtime Ministries celebrates 40 years since A Message for the President, we do so with gratitude, humility and renewed purpose.

That first book did more than start a ministry. It marked the beginning of a work God is still advancing today.

For those who have followed this ministry for years, this anniversary is a celebration of answered prayers, fulfilled prophecy and enduring truth. For those just discovering Endtime, it is an invitation to see how God has guided this ministry from the beginning — and to understand why the message still matters now more than ever.

The same God who spoke then is still speaking.

The same Word that proved true then is still true today.

And the same mission that began 40 years ago continues:

To proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom, to understand the prophecies of the Bible, and to prepare this generation for the soon coming of Jesus Christ.
