How Long Does Apricot Jalapeno Jam Last?

These are the apricot jalapeno jam where low levels of sugars are used. These are used with blackberries and blueberries. How to keep apricot jalapeno jam?

To keep your jam for the last longer, you have to add the hot water bath treatment. Here we are going to share with you the steps to process canning.

  1. To keep your apricot jalapeno jam for a long time, first, you need to clean the glass jars. You have to remove all the dirt and rinse them with hot water. You can also use detergents to clean it.
  2. When the jam is cooling, you have to boil the jars in a hot water bath. You can keep it for few minutes to sterilize. Remove each jar and fill the jam about one-fourth, and then cap a lid in it. Now place a band around the jar and tighten this before placing the jar back in the hot water bath.
  3. Now keep all the jars again into the hot water bath and covered this with about 2 inches of water. You can keep the jars inside the water starting from 5 to 15 minutes. 
  4. After that, remove the jars from the boiling water and place them on the wooden cutting board. You can also keep this on any other heatproof surface. Now keep it aside for cooling and loosen the band. 



Now, you can keep your jam safe for a long time by giving it a canned bath.
